           The Knights of Columbus Council 12995 presented Jennifer Harvey with coats                        for children at Cherokee Children’s Home. 


Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.

Sacred Heart Parishioners Participated in the Gaffney Christmas Parade

On Saturday, November 19,  Sacred Heart Youth Group met in the basement with our new Youth Minister Magi Ortiz.

On Saturday, November 19,  Missionary Saturday Volunteers worked to beautify the grounds for the holiday season and built the manger for the Gaffney Christmas Parade on December 2, 2022.


On November 12, the  KOC collected donations for the Columbus HOPE Foundation at Walmart.

What does the Columbus HOPE Foundation do?

• Raise Funds

• Advocate for the Intellectually Disabled

• Serve our Intellectually Disabled citizens, the homes and the communities that support them through partnerships with the Knights of Columbus, state and local service organizations.

The first meeting of "Evangelization of the Family" taught by Ernesto & Laura Cividanes was Friday, November 11. All are welcomed to attend the next meeting on Friday, December 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Parish Life Center.

Magi, our youth minister along with Sherly, Lizbeth and Megan participated in the 24th Annual Junior High Rally, The Summit, in Columbia, SC on November 12, 2022. They enjoyed keynote speakers with inspiring messages for our youth. Bishop Jacques Fabre-Jeune celebrated Mass on Saturday evening.

Farewell to Deacon Paul - July 24, 2022


Deacon Paul Lacombe came to Sacred Heart Parish on June 11 as a seminarian from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary where he was ordained a Transitional Deacon on May 20, 2022.  Deacon Paul quickly became part of the Sacred Heart Family and we will miss him.  We wish him the best as he returns to the seminary to complete his education to be ordained a priest next year.
